This has been a strange winter! This is the first time we have had flood warnings instead of snowstorms. The president has declared a state of emergency in Ohio because the water is rising. One of my colleagues has to use a boat to get out of her house and reach dry land...... if there is any. If it had been snow fall not rain we would have been buried under 10 feet of snow. Salting the roads may not have helped. ODOT (Ohio Dept of Transport) would have had to dig igloo-like tunnels for people to drive through. Yesterday and day before it felt like Spring. We had temperatures in the mid 60s. Of course, the temperatures have now fallen drastically by 40 degreees. It is 20F outside and everything is freezing.
