Yesterday was a day almost as exciting as 9/11. Almost all the major cities on the east coast- exculsive of Pennslyvannia apparently- lost electricity. At first everyone thought it was only Akron but it turns out that even New York suffered .(and they suffered the most. ) Now People in Ohio actually have to boil tap water before they drink it. To add to the excitement the university was shut down and most of the traffic lights were not working, so every intersection was being treated like a 4 way stop. And people in New York had to be evacuated from the subway. Swarms of people were walking home on the Brooklyn Bridge. And as usual the phones were affected- all the way from Canada to Ohio.
Paranoia has a strange way of surfacing. The first announcement that was made was reassurance to the American people that this was not a terrorist attack but it could have been a prank by some kids who had hacked into Microsoft and left Bill Gates a message saying that his software was not secure enough.....or one of the transformers blew in Niagara!!!
